Bio:I'm a native Marylander/Washingtonian (I grew up reading the Post) who has lived in California for half of his life.

California sucks:

  • The butter is the wrong shape
  • The plants are the wrong color
  • People here are weird (but some are nice)
  • It's too dry
  • Not enough rain

    • When it does rain, it's invariably cold
    • When it rains, the Californians (and even the expats) drive as if they're in a blizzard in white-out conditions
    • No good thunderstorms

  • No seasons ("damp" and "dry" don't count as seasons)
  • property is insanely expensive
  • not enough roads
  • too much traffic
  • too much air pollution
  • too many clueless drivers (Hey, drive like you want to arrive!)
  • gasoline is too expensive even though we live right next to the refineries
  • electricity is too expensive, thanks to the Republicans tilting the system for their pals
  • new weird plants to be allergic to
  • They put fucking English cheese (Cheddar) on Pizza (an Italian dish)
  • They call it "indian summer" in the fall even though there has yet to be a frost
  • They grow rice in the middle of the desert
  • They grow almost everything in the middle of the desert
  • You can get a $150 ticket for "road rage" if you give a few toots on your horn at some mouth-breather who is dawdling.
  • Californians are the absolute worst rubberneckers in the Union
  • The water is hard
